A large portion of India’s population resides in rural areas, where access to healthcare services is limited and lack of awareness leads to severe public health challenges. Health education plays a crucial role not only in disease prevention but also in empowering communities for sustainable
development. This review article discusses the importance of health education in rural India, the current health status, key challenges, and recommended solutions. It is evident from the study that without adequate health awareness among rural populations, achieving inclusive growth and public well-being is not possible.
